Any competitors for Stormdrum? True Strike 2!

This has nothing to do with my previous thread; aside from wanting a load of random percussion samples, is there any library that focuses more closely on ethnic percussion? One without loops? One that has even more samples per instrument? I was planning on buying Stormdrum in the future, but revisiting the demos made me sick to my stomach. I cannot stand libraries created for the masses. I need something more professional, and ironically that usually comes from smaller developers. Yeah, you can say "wat yoo talkin bout noob, STORMDRUM IS TEH WIN!", but I think it's time for something else. I'm pretty good with a sequencer and loops are a waste of sample space when it could have been used for more samples per instrument.

Do you have the Doru Malaia DVD?
There's also http://www.swarsystems.com/, (associated with Linplug AFAIK), but I'm not sure if they have percussion or just other ethnic instruments).
Edit: I forgot to mention ChineeKong, which is a great plugin as well

For Chinese percussions, you probably won't find anything like our ChineeKong. Be sure to check up our free loop pack.

And... sorry, I'm looking for a competitor for Stormdrum, ChineeKong is good, but not all-inclusive. I'm listening to Same True Strike 2 and I am damn impressed. They say none of it is loops.

Yes, True Strike 2 audio demos are very impressive. It's the first time we have heard a Western company actually comes up with an excellent Oriental sound. (besides Heart of Asia)Architeuthis wrote:

...but if you are specifically in the market for Chinese percussion, it will still be hard to avoid Chineekong...
*BTW, Chineekong is not a collection of loops either.

I wouldn't say there's no competition, given how popular Stormdrum is and how much use it has gotten on every TV show, movie, and video game you could think of. I coul understand not buying it if you think the sound is overused (which may or may not be true), but just because it's POPULAR is no reason not to get it. Really well-made products are going to be popular.

The reason not to get it is that True Strike 2 focuses on what I want it to focus on while Stormdrum does not.

Stay tuned for my release of 'FlyingHand Percussion' very soon.
I kept very quiet but I shall release demos and launching announcement very soon.
TrueTrike2 is a different animal alltogether. FlyingHand Percussion follows a different concept. I suspect they will complement each other quite nicely.
I announced my library at NAMM in Dec. maybe some people here heard it there
Anyways, for the next days, you can read all about if at www.flyinghandpercussion.com
The site is also mirrored at my main site at www.handheldsound.com
Hang on for official announcements.
Thanks,

Stay tuned for my release of 'FlyingHand Percussion' very soon, you say?
Certainly it's a great name.
I seem to reall hearing some incredible "ethnic" (lol) percussion from the company
that sells that Tuvan throat sampler that had a news item on kvr here in February.

Teomi, aren't you the guy that claimed Scarbee was releasing an ethnic percussion library and you were the one creating the library? It looks like scarbee has nothing to do with this.
