Good responses.
What is the pan-envelope in Soniformer?
Pan envelope = Panorama curve in frequency spectrum = :x....simply press the Pan button (the last in the row) and you will understand
Well, I don't actually have those wonderful Voxengo plugs though I used them elsewhere way
back in the day.

I do recall them sounding much like ancient 60's analog gear, though.

I LOVE multiband stereo faker.

Elevayta Wider Boy Pro exactly fits this requirement+

You can also pan bass and high independently and under midi control (if you like).

thanks heaps for your replies. i have been overdubbing up until now but my syst resources are chugging as is...

thanks for the offers Benedict & Blaster78, im gonna go with Voxengo soniformer as their products have been really really solid, you could actually do what Greg suggested using their tempodelay

i know lower keys still have high resonance but if its applied subtely it might create more depth even if slightly artificial. im also thinking of mono kicks to create a disparity between inner and outer mics cause i do heaps of sampling and often ill have to grab only one channel to isolate a note or shot from other instruments, but unless there is some stereo disparity can sound stale.

Drat, and I thought that idea was original. How about having an effect just split the audio channels, so you can apply whatever effects you want to the EQ bands?
