Sorry guys if this is a no no to post here - but it is Tracktion related so here it goes...
SWA Video is happy to announce the newest addition to our growing catalog - SWA Complete Tracktion 2. Tracktion 2 is an application that shows a promise of a strong and bright future along side of the bigger boys such as Cubase SX, Sonar, Logic etc, and SWA Video is also there to help new users or even some seasoned users of this incredible program get a solid understand of it's features and tool set that will enable them to create professional music with Tracktion 2!
And right now we are offering a special Pre-Release price allowing you to get the video at a reduce price till the video is officially released in July - order now, and get the online streaming version for only $18.99!
(pre-release videos are not yet ready for download but are expected to be ready at the beginning of July)
Some info on SWA Complete Tracktion 2
SWA Complete Tracktion 2 is geared for the recording musician, thus rather than merely reading out the manual the Dan Worrall guides you through Tracktion's functions in the same order you are to most likely encounter them. Each video starts out with the basic concepts before progressing to some of the more advanced features, with practical examples at each stage.
Dan has carefully planned each lesson to ensure that SWA Complete Tracktion will make sense both to complete newcomers, experienced Tracktion user and to those who might be migrating from other sequencers, as Tracktion is quite un-conventional in some ways. Dan has paid special attention to those areas which might often cause confusion, such as multi-output plug-ins and delay compensated auxiliary sends, and in each case demonstrates the quickest and easiest way to get results.

Personally, I think this is great news, and a superb reflection of Tracktions maturation as a product. Good luck with your venture and thanks for laying out what you've done so clearly.
Music is something you DO. Spend time, not money.

Coolness. Great job Dan and Chris.
Is there a way to direct link to it? I'd love to put it on our Tracktion pages and the usefull links here if that's OK with you.

Y'know, I would have said I didn't need that, but having watched the sample video, I really enjoyed it, and I probably could learn stuff from it. I was watching a BFD sample vid recently, and even though the gui there is really intuitive too, I'd missed a few bits and bobs - I guess I like tutorial vids.
I can see myself getting a copy of that when it becomes available ... nice job guys

I would buy the DVD as a compliment to the manual, but the streaming is not something I would buy. Because streaming means I need an internet connection and cannot "save the file" to disk? Or could I save the streams to disk? I know this is something configurable per stream and per stream server...
Are we able to save the files that are streamed to disk? To save them ourselves onto our own media for offline use?

Hah. nevermind. Helps to read the FAQFrom the FAQ wrote: Q: How do the online streaming versions of your tutorials work? How do I gain access to them?
A: Online streaming tutorials are the quickest and easiest way to view our tutorials. To gain access to the streaming videos you will need to first create an account with SWA Video, you can do so here. Once you have created your membership you then can purchase access to the videos from our tutorials page found here. Once the purchase transaction is complete your membership login details are added to the videos access database. All videos subscribed to can accessed from your account 'My Streaming Videos' page. It is also possible to download the tutorial to your computer so that you can watch the video with being tied down to the internet! for those that may want a hard copy version we have those as well on DVD!

The DVD is going to be $29.99? If so, I've read I can pay the difference between the streamed one to get the DVD, so if the stream is $18.99, that means I can order the DVD (if I buy streaming) for $11 + s/h?

This sounds really good! Maybe Mackie could work out a future bundle deal with this? Video training is FAR superior to any other method of learning except actual one on one learning.
I may get this just to learn a few things I may have looked over, or if nothing else then to support the project.
Good work!
Brent
