I've managed to get Korg Legacy working on my Receptor.
Out of all the plugs, only LegacyCell is not working, due to a conflict with WINE. Maybe a future version of WINE will be able to run Legacy Cell. In the meantime, if you follow my instructions, you can get MS-20, MS-20FX, MDE-X, Polysix and Wavestation working fine.

GREAT! I just got the software-only version, which is actually a different set of plugs, but includes Wavestaion, which is what I wanted - and it came with a dongle. Can you tell us how you got yours to work? (Does Legacy not use a dongle? or do you need to connect the MS-20 to run?)

I think Korg is now selling a POSSIBLY dongled version of the Ms20+Polysix+LegacyCell called "analog edition"...at least in the UK they are.Kermit Jagger wrote:Read the message at receptorized.

Kermit, did your version come with the USB contoller (MS20 knockoff)? (that is the only way the sold it in the US, but I think they sold a software only version elsewhere)

I bought the Korg legacy cell 2 years ago, with the MS20 clone... it's not a dongle.

Yes, you're right, Korg are selling the Korg Legacy - Analog Edition, comprising MS-20 and Polysix and no MS-20, but only in Japan as far as I know.
Anywhere else you can get Korg Legacy with the MS-20 84% size controller + MS-20, Polysix and Wavestation, currently at version 1.1.9, or Korg Legacy Digital Edition currentl at version 1.2 and comprising M1 and Wavestation.
The tip I posted concerns the original version of Legacy coming with the MS-20 controller, MS-20, Polysix and Wavestation.
To recap, the plugs are working fine apart from two things:
1- LegacyCell is not working due to a problem with WINE.
2- Wavestation doesn't allow selecting presets via the midified FXP Receptor uses. You'll have to use the Wavestation GUI to select presets.

Stupid question; Isn't it possible to just put the dongle in a USB port on the Receptor..?

You can put the dongle, but with no driver, it will not work.
