no LFO per knob as in SymptOhm then? that's a pity!Red_Force wrote:About LFO, we have sticked on our predatohm principle, which is to keep it away from modulation. I understand this can be frustrating and I am sure some of you guys will have some via the host or the melohman octave.

i love it's looks and ergonomics.jmh wrote:love SymptOhm's funky skin although it's really messy - the grungy looks are great but I couldn't imagine working with it for more than 3 minutes and then switching to the classic skin.
take the cables that go to the filter: they become gradually visible as you crank up the sends that feed 'em. talk about intuitive design!

Well, that's the part I'm not familiar with
But should have known that the Ohmies deliver. I've only seen it shortly a couple of times at bManic, and the stuff he coaxes out of it make me beg him to stop immediately so I don't end up wasting my food budget on yet another impressive piece of software synthesis...

I like both the Classic, the Funky and the "fusion" OhmForce look.smart wrote:I think the older Ohmforce "Classic" skins would benefeit from looking like this

*Please* reconsider those knob graphics. Their only position indicator is that tiny white dot on the outer ring. Requires a lot more attention than other knob designs. A radial line from the center or a pie graph like Urs' plugins is much more ergonomic.Red_Force wrote:I can't tell how you guys will like the final skin (cause it's far from over yet) but the opinion of the latest journalist who have seen it was something like "it looks more expensive"... It will not be thus. But I can tell we are putting a lot of efforts on it.

I would just like to add here that the plugin also SOUNDS incredible. Believe me when I say that you can get some pretty whacky results from this thing! 'Em ohmies are crazy indeed.
Cheers!

Once more the design itself will change 100%. Amongst other things you should have no problem at all reading it*Please* reconsider those knob graphics. Glad to hear it. As much as I've loved the sound of your plugins I haven't always been as friendly with the interfaces.Red_Force wrote: Once more the design itself will change 100%. Amongst other things you should have no problem at all reading it

Quite right! Why is everyone so fussed about the GUI - this plug sounds brilliant! I already own Predatohm - and I'm definately getting Ohmicide when it's released and I don't really care what it looks like.bmanic wrote:I would just like to add here that the plugin also SOUNDS incredible. Err... because it's the only thing "we" "have" right now?
And because... well, you can read, can't you?
Most of us will leave commentary about its sound to hearing it first.

There are some mp3 demos to check out but believe me, it's only showing a tiny bit of what this thing can do.

Yes I can read - I just think it's a shame that ohmforce go to great lengths to produce top notch audio effects and most of the comments are about how the thing looks.

No shame at all ! If a plugin isn't visually appealing - and I am not speaking about eye candy, just to have something clear and understandable it will not be that much used. The way I see it, the screenshot allready tells a lot on what it is, and what's in.
We spend more time on the DSP than on the GUI but we spend a lot of time on the GUI. So no problem to speak about it to me
