That's fixed. (As far as my not-so-good-condition-anymore Ensoniq keyboard suggests)

;) Urs

Now if some controller company will just make a new controller with polyAT!!! I've sent multiple emails to Novation

Post

Yeah, my EPS only sends after touch when I *lower* the pressure. I can press as hard as I want, I have to release it a bit to get any actual midi message sent :-|

Cheers,

;) Urs

I am using a mint 18 year old Kurzweil MIDIBoard- it is holding up pretty well. I think sending emails to Novation may not be helpful, because they probably have their keybeds manufactured by Fatar. That new line of keyboards from China http://www.cme-pro.com/products-list/product-uf.html may be the best bet, as they are willing to do things like motorized faders, etc.

btw Urs: Is the Z2 preview version with the PolyAT fixed available for download? Thanks!

Nope, just builds on my machine. I don't think there'll be another preview before final...

This is the one that looks interesting. I should email them as well.

I am not at all interested in the audio interface part and would rather they just stuck to a pure controller that was high end.

I've seen them on MusikMesse. They are extremely cool, look well manufactured and the motorfaders are nuts.

Did you get your hands on one? I wondered what the action was like? Nobody in my city has these controllers... How it feels is so important

I like the XY pad on the Novation, but otherwise these look great, although I have no need for the audio interface stuff.

Post

Well???

Post

Sorry, got some unexpected probs with VST stuff. But I think it's ironed out.

I have to deliver a new ltmLab (magware) tomorrow, and afterwards I'll see how the new stuff compiles on the Macbook. If it compiles well, I'll post it here during the weekend (even though a couple of graphics will be missing).

Cheers,

;) Urs

Great, thanks!

I saw a Thomas Dolby concert in Detroit last month and he was using a CME UF7 (the version with no motorized faders) he also was using a couple Novation SL controllers and a M-Audio Trigger Finger and he was running Logic on his laptop. 8)

Post

For the record, he was running logic on a G5 PowerMac, but he is looking forward to using a laptop....check out his website www.ThomasDolby.com, he has a blog and does an extensive review of his touring equipment.

Well, I wasn't so worried about how soon Z2 was available for the new Macbooks, but my PB just died and I've had to order a MB....

Post

Hey, by now I can say that all major problems have been sorted. I'm taking 2 days off now and on Monday I've planned to make the final shift to the MBP for development. The very next stable build of Z2 for Intel Macs will be posted here.
