Hi C3Boy,
I've got it, and it runs fine. The Leslie sims are miles beyond the previous version. Not too much of a hog either.
Highly recommended.

I can't get the authorization codes from Native Instruments. They never respond to emails...anyone else have this problem? I registered by B4 version 1 through Plugorama but Native Instruments has no record of it on my account and when i key in the serial they say it was registered already. Meanwhile, my B4II upgrade sits awaiting an authorization code. any thoughts?

Littidy, there have been some threads on this in the past.

You should open a ticket with Muse. I think they have a common licence issued to them for the Native plugs that you can buy off plugorama. I'm not sure there is an upgrade path for those plugs with Native at this time.

Cheers Looneytunes,
How do you go about putting the upgrade in? Do you uninstall B4 2 and put the update in or is the update file just an add on to the program? Which folder does it go into, the unsupported or the drop installers here folder?
Cheers
Gary

Hi Gary,
I need to go home to review what I did, but I seem to remember doing this in the same "unsupported" manner as other NI based products (eg. Kompakt player types of SW, like the East-West libs). I recall having to get a "challenge" code from Receptor (NI Authorization dialog), typing this into the NI authorizer on their website, getting the response code from the website (and pasting this into a text document), copying the auth/text-document back onto receptor, and then rerunning the auth dialog and pasting the response code back into it. It wasn't as hard as it sounds - it just wasn't as automatic as doing things the 'iLok' way.
Hope this helps, Cheers!

Great, if a little daunting, Im terrified one day I'll try stuf like this and it'll screw my Receptor up. As I live in the UK it's even more worrying if anything goes wrong! But hey, if the Leslie's miles better then it's worth it, and i have done unsupported stuff before, just not NI stuff.
Are you saying I need to uninstall the B4 2 I have on there? At 29MB for the update, it looks like a complete program of B4 2 at that size.
Cheers for help so far!

Ahhh -
Gary, My humble apologies. When I read your post as 'B4 2 update', I did not read this as B4 2.0.2 (I interpreded this as updating from 1.x to 2.0).
I have not yet tried the B4 2.0.2 update.
Sorry for the confusion. I'll have to look at 2.0.2 soon myself. The release notes suggest that this fixes some bugs, presets, and noise artifacts -- but doesn't introduce new functionality.
I can generically comment that NI typically do updates one of 2 ways:
1.) Major updates with new authorizations
2.) Minor updates (simply changing the dlls but not the auths).
I'm guessing 2.0.2 is the second. Anyway, I will try to update my Mac/PC version first to see if it requires re-auth before my Receptor. I recommend not to de-auth anything until you are sure.
Again, sorry for my confusion.
Cheers,
Kevin L.

No problems, maybe I should have been more clear on the 'update' reference!. Yes, I went to the NI website and I was'nt sure if the installer Muse brought out for B4 2 included the latest update from NI.

Hi again, Gary,
Just checked this at home. The version on my B4 II Plug (Muse Receptorized installer) is V. 2.0.2.004. So it seems that the muse installer is up to date with the current patch level.
Regards,
Kevin L

Thanks Kevin, much appreciated on the clarification. Is there any 3rd party support for B4 2, stuff like presets?
I don't mind tweaking, but I do like seeing other peoples 'tweeks' too!
