Off topic: I love REAPER.

Yeah, actually he does. Considering him and I joined around the same time, I can say with authority that we've both seen at least 30 identical predecessors of these 'fun' time-wasting POS threads that do nothing but stand as an excuse for most not to get better aquainted with the software they diss here and actually do something productive..superddman wrote:I guess you dont know what "fun" means.spaceman wrote:what a great thread.. can't we just rip of your testicles instead of replying to this nonsense

BUT I work with a lot of professionals, amateurs and people who don't have any qualified opinion on the matter, all of which have this mindset that if it's not Protools then it's not "pro" at all
I don't know where the idea comes from but it drives me mental. It's also the same group of people who'll shit on anything that doesn't have "Mackie", "Allen & Heath" or "SSL" written on it.
Of course it can do all of those things; my problem with FL is that it just seems to me that these features were added in a rather inelegant fashion after the inital program release.androidlove wrote:the impression i get just reading comments about fl studio is that it's building block oriented. i also gather it has a problem with chords. in fl studio can you just play what you want as long as you want and have a midi recording just as played? can you record and edit automation over the whole song? can you record audio? i just get the impression that it's as stated; a glorified drum machine

SX3 / Sonar: Music industry equivalent of accountants
Protools: "Don't you know I'm a pro?"
FL Studio: Teens and fanboys
Orion: Only two users - Bones & Kriminal
Logic: Supporters of corporate evil (PC betrayl not forgotten)
N-Track: People who should have known better
Reaper: Ex-musicians now more interested in beta testing
Traktion: Cheap-ass zealots
Ableton Live: Smug fashion victims

i hate it when people say this....S.HUSH wrote:I'm shocked at how many dislike Live. It is the easiest host i have ever used.
Live and EnergyXT....that's all i ever need.
Agreed bought my copy of Logic just before they anounced the switch to Mac only.Cabinfever wrote:M
