A few questions:
Since I'm from Slovenia, does that mean I can get cheaper shipping (preferably from Italy)?
How does it compare to Tech21 Ampeg preset (on the Bass Driver)?
I might be getting this (+ one of the cheaper bass amps) or the Tech21 Landmark 60 amp.
thanks

Just got my SVX in the mail, loaded it up, unlocked it (still a PITA but gets easier everytime) and put it on some older tunes-GREAT. More professional sounding bass than I've ever had and that's just the presets. Nothing makes a demo sound more pro than a good bottom end.
Now I've got a BFB to go with my BFD!

What does BFB mean? The first B is probably for Big, and the second one for Bass... then I'm confused...scottedog wrote:Now I've got a BFB to go with my BFD!
Could you post a short mp3 btw?

SVX seems to have a presence that the other plugins lack.

If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Just got my Ampeg SVX. Now I just have to go to the studio and try it out
Made a test run on my eXT and it seems to work, but since I don't have "real" material to test it on, I can't say too much of it yet. Seemed nice and I did try it out with some bass samples and it sounded very good with those. Also got CSR at the same time, yay
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

Still not convinced that I need this one. It's still a lot of money for some bass guitar boost.

I'm nearly there, anyway. I've just flogged some spare gear on ebay and I almost have the mullah to get this now...this time next week IT WILL BE MINE (muwhahahahaha....)

I read the review in CM and it got a ten.
the problem they say is that the emulation is so good that you need the speakers to actually hear it! (I don't have such a speaker system....

I dig it. I've been working on getting a grungy Bob Daisely type tone with SVX.

.. this extremely silly demo-restriction (20 or 30 starts or something) prevents me from buying it.
i hadn't got enough time to become convinced.
i mean, i have the dongle .. can't they just say that i can use the demo for 20 or 30 days?
..

This one goes to Squids: Is there a 'download only' crossgrade of AmpegSVX somewhere (as with AT2 when it came out)? I don't need the physical box, and if that would give me immediate access to the plug and save some bucks, I would prefer such a 'download only' option... I am planning to buy it anyway, but really, I don't dig all these boxes cluttering my studio space...
