Now that the aquistion of Amplitube 2 is a thing of the past, I was wondering when a pre-order for Ampeg® SVX would be available on the Esoundz website?

Oh. So maybe it will come with the key then if it is a crossgrade from any AT version (although I bet that's only a limited time offer and the extended offer- if there is one- will be only for AT2 users... just a guess).flynn wrote:IK's Ampeg site shows two options. One full product and one crossgrade for all Amplitube's, and going from AT Live, AT1, AT LE etc, you'll need the key.
I would love if they also made a special crossgrade for AT2 owners already having the key, and only as a download at very special price.....![]()

IK's web wrote: Ampeg SVX contains accurate models of the most sought-after bass amps and cabinets ever made including the SVT Classic, B15W Portaflex "Flip Top", BA500 and SVT4 PRO, in an easy to use, great sounding plug-in for any platform. 6 bass cabinets are also included (the B15W, BA500, BXT410H, SVT410H, SVT810H, PB212H) with ultra accurate modeling including high frequency horn attenuator, and 6 different microphone models including dedicated bass microphones. In addition, with cabinet mix and match amp heads, up to 24 bass amp combinations can be obtained covering the broadest spectrum of bass sounds you will find anywhere.
I have used the Bass Thick 1 preset from AT2 on 2 different basses. The preset really made both my 1983 Ibanez Road Star 888 and a 1966 Fender Jazz stand out on two tracks. It has a nice solid low end with some grind on top. And I didnt even fiddle with AT2's eq section. The preset sounded great out of the box.IN all seriousness i thought the bass sounds in Amplitube 1 were better than the guitar sounds. I havent tried AT2. Hopefully they don't mess this up, becasue in my opinion, a good bass sim would be WAY more appealing than a good guitar sim. BEcasue to this day no one can completely agree that a guitar amp sim "sounds" like a real amp.
That's the MSRP. By the time we take off for the Crossgrade, and eSoundz discounts, it will be as affordable as the other products, I hope.Killvehicle wrote:Although did I see it will be $399!! Thats a bit steep as usual
The classic SVT was modeled. You also have a nice 8X10 cabinet too!Wade Cornett wrote:
I do understand that Ampeg has recently reissued the 70's Silverface SVT. It would be nice if that amp could be modeled for SVX.

Not really. An Ampeg B15 alone is $3,000 or so. IK and Ampeg had both the software and a hardware B15 A/Bed right next to each other at NAMM and people could not even tell the difference.Killvehicle wrote:Although did I see it will be $399!! Thats a bit steep as usual
