And I'd have to admit being a borderline conservatory kid. I went to a great audio college but some of my classmates walked out of there only knowing how to use pro tools and only will know how to use just that for years to come. But since most of those folks will just be doing post production sound and not music scores it's actually a very fitting program for them to know.
One of the original conservatory guys left and started a REALLY good recording program at the community college, and free of the direct marketing of his students. Also, a course requirement is electronics class as well.
A lot of our community colleges are starting to turn out excellent recording programs
