Does anyone know the internal processing bit depth of the GVST plugins?

Post

i would assume 32 bit, like 99% of VST plugins out there.

Hi,

I was just about to reply to your email when I found this post, sorry it's taken so long.

The GVST plug-ins all use 32 bit floating point maths for the majority of the processing. For recursive algorithms such as IIR filters, where precision is more important, 64 bit maths is used.

Theoretically, the plug-ins should all work at any sample rate - there is no hard-coded limit and all of the processing is designed to be independent of sample-rate. However, I personally have not tried them at any sample-rates other than 44.1 and 48 kHz, so I can't guarantee anything.

Hope that helps :).

Just a quick unsolicited plug (pun intended)...

GVST plugs are brilliant! Clean UI, clean sound, no reason not to have them in your plug-ins folder. Download and donate!
