Sonic Synth 2 will not fully work in my Receptor. The downloaded installer file from Plugorama is supposed to have some pre-built banks and patches but none appear on my system. The GUI works and you can save banks and patches. The download for the installer is massive and takes forever to download (90+ minutes)even on my fast cable connection. Anyone else having problems? Any help would be appreciated. BTW I've tried to uninstall/reinstall twice with the same results even after a system reset. Thanks.

No problem here. Have you copied the samples to the right place ? It would explain why nothing appears.

As Kermit said, make sure the samples are in the right place.herbsman wrote:Sonic Synth 2 will not fully work in my Receptor. Also, check your installation log file to see if it got any errors, and if it did, open a ticket on Plugorama.
It worked fine for me as well, though it's been many months since I installed it (and probably on OS 1.4....I'm on 1.5 now).

Submit a ticket on plugorama, we'll get this squared. Dont reinstall it from scratch..
note: SS2 installer is big cause their patches are big and i think there are about 1500 of them..

Thanks for the replies. The samples are in the right place as they do show up n the GUI. Just nothing in banks and patches (unless I create them myself). Also the installation log showed nothing abnormal. I'll submit a ticket. Thanks again!

I think it would be nice in the future if you offered two version of these kinds of installers (like for this one, SampleTank, Kontakt2, etc). The other version being WITHOUT all of the Receptorized patches. Really unless you use it live you don't need them as it's easy enough to load the patches from the plugin's GUI.farhan wrote: note: SS2 installer is big cause their patches are big and i think there are about 1500 of them..
Personally, I like to use the Receptorized patches ONLY to store my "favorites" from the sometimes thousands of choices that come with the plugins, and to store my own creations. I have heard other folks on the forum express this same opinion/preference.
Thanks for listening!

Well, I disagree. Considering the time it would take to receptorize all presets, I'm grateful the job has already been done for SS2 and ST2.

Not saying the shouldn't do the job, as it obviously adds value for some folks. But for those of us who don't WANT them, why should I have to wait hours for the download? Why not bundle the SS2/ST2 installers into TWO separately downloadable packages, one for the program and one for the presets?Kermit Jagger wrote:Well, I disagree. Wow - I didn't know ST2 and SS2 could work on Receptor.
I'm one step closer to purchasing.
Just EnergyXT and Philharmonik to go and I don't see any barriers to me making a purchase and turning a Receptor into my portable studio.
Regards
Caleb
