...in Receptor?

I would like to use my expression pedal to control my other VST effects, But I can't figure out how to tell Mr. Ray to stop responding to cc messages. there is another page on the plugin edit mode which shows all of the 'routable' parameters. But I can't seem figure it out. I read the manual and I'm pretty stuck. Any help would be very very appreciated.

Thanks,

I don't believe you can. The edit page is just the Facelsee Mode screen, the same parameters. You'll have to filter at the keyboard or sequencer.

Yeah... that's not gonna happen. I'm trying to use my expression pedal for VST effects. I mean, I love Ray... but he keeps glomming onto that cc. I also love what Muse Research has done with this unit. But I'd really like to see midi filtering/routing so you can route cc messages through to EACH insert vst. ...now THAT would be sweet.

100% totl agreement, and AFAIC, an absolute necessity to maximize the functionality of the unit. It's a wonderful box, but full midi selection/rejection is vital to performance with mutilpe keyboards and setups.

yeah...

The fact that you need to use up a whole other channel just so you can send cc data to a VST effect kind of sucks. It really wouldn't take much to impliment that type of midi filter/chaining on the channels. I know it wouldn't impact performace, just a few more xml files.

'cmon Dan Timis... PLEEEEASE!???

Dont know much about receptor, but cant you run enegyXT as a VSTi in it, then run MrRay in eXT and block the cc's getting to it?

Wow! That looks like a great tool. I'm gonna check it out tonight. Although using it just means a band-aid fix, adding another wrapper to the configuration. Midi routing is just one of those things that should be 'standard' on any VST host. Nevertheless, I'm gonna check out that energyXT tonight! Thanks! -=(h)=-

There is one known GUI bug with energyXT on Receptor....once you leave the edit page and come back the screen is not usable...it just doesn't re-draw correctly. Running energyXT inside Phrazor seems to eliminate this bug, but I have found that to be very very slow in the GUI and a bit unstable. You CAN use energyXY and just always remember to save what you do as a preset before you leave the edit page, the reload energyXT and recall the preset when you need to come back to it.

It's a shame because energyXT would solve MANY routing problems, and allow "stacks" of plugins on a single receptor channel!

Try SONICBYTES Phrazor, http://www.sonicbytes.com/, seems to work on Receptor.

"Seems" being the operative work there

I've gotten phrazor to do some things ok, but the GUI is very slow responding and it freezes receptor some too. This was with Beta 5 and 6. It will be very cool if it can be made stable.

All this talk is great! I'm all for getting things to work and pushign the envelope. But I'd just hate to have to put a software wrapper around an existing VSTi things to get them to work the way I want. I might have better luck getting the developers of Ray 73 to make the controls configurable in their plugin. I'm not bothered though. I love my Receptor AND Ray73 anyway.
