I have a whole series of Kontakt 2 banks.
Does anyone know an easy way to convert these into Receptor banks?
At the moment I am selecting an instrument, saving it, selecting another, saving it etc. etc.
There's two problems with this approach
1) It's slow and labourious; however if this is what needs to be done I can gradually chip away at it
2) Each receptor patch when recalled, loads all the instruments in again into Kontakt so there is a long loading time (whereas in Kontakt 2, if you have say 50 instruments loaded in a bank and switch between them, they are instantaneous because all the samples are already loaded). I could delete all of the other instruments for each of these- but it would make the conversion process even more tedious than it is in 1.
Anyone come across this and developed a smart way around this problem.
Cheers, Domc

Unfortunately I don't have a solution at the moment, but how do you load 50 instruments into Kontakt at one time without saturating RAM? Are these very very small instruments or do they all use the same samples?

I have 2gb of ram in both the receptor and laptop - which I consider essential if you would like to sequence a lot of instruments.
Most of the banks are not big but not small (eg 50mb - 200mb) and consist of 40-60 instruments. Eg. I labouriously converted Spectrasonic's vocal planet into Kontakt2 banks. Each instrument has say 2-5 octaves of different vocal samples (eg oohs, or ahhs, or sung phrases, or spoken words etc). So each instrument is 1-8mb rather than being super large like an Akoustic Piano instrument with 10velocity layers or so per note and being 200mb on its own!
