Sorry Rene, but with a development speed of a retired snail, you most likely won't make it anywhere in softwareland. I had high hopes (just as everybody), but now there's nothing left.

Oh sure, you had Tsunamis, no phone lines, terror attacks and whatever each day during the last two years. And of course you had to incorporate "revolutionary technology from outer space" at least 20 times, when the thing was done already. And as a prove we've seen a SynthEdit mockup called Xmas-Amp - just that this is easily surpassed by quite some other freebies.
Do you really think that there's *any* sane person left believing in your tantric "it'll be worth the wait" mumblings? It surely won't be.

For both 'rhythm' guitars, I recorded with an acoustic. The mic'ed acoustic track might not work so well with distortion. The riff track was recorded with a Dean Markley Pro-Mag soundhole pickup, which is actually a single-coil low-output pickup. As it turns out, it sounded better with light distortion than my electrics did.

The solo is recorded with a Yamaha Pacifica 302, which is a tele-style guitar. I used the bridge pickup, though, which is a mini-humbucker I put in called a "Little 59" by Seymour Duncan.

The completed track, the way I mixed it if you want a reference point... not that you need to emulate what I did or anything.

2. Some guitar parts from my current project. I didn't include drums or bass this time, but I DID maintain the theme of recording the silences. This affects the Godin rhythm track, which comes in after 16 measures, but REALLY affects the solo, which is actually very short and comes in much later. That's a lot of silence, but again I figured it would be helpful for lining up the tracks. The download ends up being pretty small anyhow. In each rhythm part there are verse, bridge, and chorus riffs. The solo is done over the chorus riffs.

Guitars:

-Main riff>> Godin LG with SD P-90s. Recorded in bridge position. If you get lots of string noise and treble, that's pretty standard for a bridge position P-90 played inattentively.

-Secondary riff>> The Pacifica with the bridge humbucker again.

-Solo>> Same as above

Hope those are helpful. For what it's worth, I owe my allegiance to another great distortion/amp plugin, but I'm not against helping someone out a bit. You can never have too many distortions. <grin>
