Samba Country/Freeztar (w/ Xander): As it says, F's great new drum kit, and Xander does Elvis/Bono. Gtr is suitably barmy for the genre mix-up. Solo especially. Cool!

Now there's a cool new nick! Elvis Bono :)

Hmmm... will this require a wardrobe change? :|

:hihi:

Thanks for the kind review there Mr Funxi! :)

Yeah, i was hesitant to ask because if it were samples, i know some would allow that to affect their voting decision but it sounded authentic to me and i was curious to see if that were the case.
Personally, played or sampled, i vote based on the outcome.
Anyhow, you play well. I had a harmonica about 7 years ago and i was so bad it sounded like a boiling tea kettle. :(

......but i still say my dead hamster can play better harmonica than you. 8)

Señor Hush could you please explain how you got that boiling tea kettle sound out of your harmonica; I'm trying myself to get that one without succes until now. :?
A "coming geisha" sound is the closest I can get... :hihi:

Funkychicken... thanks for the review. I really wouldn't know what to say about the track if I were anyone else on here. I wouldn't say you're too far off on the carpark thing. I guess I prefer to go for the "live" element, generally speaking. I've listened to a lot of good tracks on here thus far, but I've yet to post my own reviews. I guess I'll do that later tonight.

Hello there. I would like to make my first ever submission to this month's contest. However, I have never uploaded anything and have no clue as to where and how to host it somewhere. May I have some help, please?

Spain/Scoops (w/guitarjeff): Get outa here, you bums! :P Way too pro. Piano/perc/drums are very fusion, the guitar is what you'd expect. Has a tune, all kinds of odd features. The jeff solo is over the top in a clever way. This stuff is unfair competition, in my book :hihi:

Hey Chickenman,

Thanks for the comps. I'm glad you liked it :)

A couple months ago when we did the annonymous contest, there were alot of people that had indicated that my tune was Guitar Jeff. At that point I thought it would be fun to incorporate some of Jeff's picking into one of my comps. It was only a matter of time and finding the right tune to do this. This month just so happened to be the one. But be forwarned, there is potential for us to combine forces again in the future. :P

Niko: Welcome to the club! Some kind of prozak-blues with Zappa-feel and shaky ending. Dark and deep fun. One of the best tunes yet. Super Krautsalat!

Sepheritoh: Nostalgia pure...nothing new, but what a feeling in this song....70s with 70s with 70s. Melancholic and charming heartwarmer. suuper lekker!

Richiebee: This song only lacks a good vocal-arrangement. It is the perfect basic-track for a middle-weight-hit-bomb: Do the vocal, Mr Bee!

btw, y'all should know this is what I type into Notepad while listening. Little post-editing is done. First impressions, geddit?

Disturbulence/Dreibel: Dance track, with the entry of heavy metal cliches. Yeah, it works, but it's not incredibly novel concept-wise, eh? Is it all a bit too straight for this jokey contest? :P Am I asking too much? Good guitars, good production.

I think that I was pretty tired when I wrote that description of my track. What I meant to say was that these guys weren't metel guitarists, they were prog-rock musicians! Metel players usually don't use extreme fuzztones or E-Bows, and when was the last time you ever heard a Geoff Downes type synth solo on a dance track, much less a four-part guitar orchestration? There's also a live bass line lurking in there.

I really, really have to improve my chops if I have any chance of competing with the like of Guitar Jeff here.

still, glad you liked the playing and the production. I live for that, it shows I'm going in the right direction production-wise.....

Can't help picturing the Pirates of the Carribean though.
:D Thx!!
Never seen this movie but I like Johnny Depp's playing in lotsa movies, great actor, mostly having a role suited to himself, being a little bit weird/confused.
Helps me to identify with him. :)

"From hell" and "Dead man" I like most, though he also played great in the Tim Burton movies.
