Hey guys,
Im looking for a small hardware sequencer that can import midi files, so i can have accompaniment on solo gigs. Any recommendations? Probably will be used with receptor, but it will have to have it's own internal sounds too.
TIA

Has it got to be a sequencer or just a midi file player ? If the latter, the Yamaha ones are still useful.

Im not sure, it HAS to have built in sounds, sometimes I will have receptor with me, other times ill just be playing my Nord, so I need the internal sounds. I only want it to play the drums and bass from midi files mostly.

If you need a proper sequencer, then yes, the QY is the ticket, in 70 or 100 format.

I have a Yamaha QY700 which was awesome for its day. However, it might be a bit too much for what you want.

It still is the best hardware sequencer ever, but is quite bulky. More like one for the studio whilst the QY is eminently portable.
