Tascam GVI on Receptor

Has anyone tried running the Tascam GVI as an unsupported plug in on the receptor? It basically is a playback version of Gigastudio as a VSTi plug-in. It would sure be awesome to have another box to playback my Giga library. Hard to beat the cost as it is a $50 upgrade if you are a Giga Orchestra owner.

I have been seeing adds her in the states for it and receiving emails from Tascam but I suppose that doesn't mean that it is shipping.....

That's what I thought as I assumed as a GS3 reg user that I'd get an email from them wanting me to buy it !

kermit, I've never received an email from tascam that wasn't a direct response to a query or registratioon request, and I have had Giga 2, 2.5, 3, the 224 and a couple other small that I have registered for that reason. once they shut down their forum they may as well have turned to making accordions. never heard a word from them I don't think they do that - communicate directly to th end user.

But I swa no mention of it shipping on their site when I looked yesterday...

And it's the opposite for me. I've had GS since 1.6 and I always get an email to say an upgrade is ready, a new version can be bought... Have you subscribed to their newsletter ?

Ahhh, i understand - no, I do not subscribe to advetising circulars, they then to multiply like rats...

To their credit, I've not received anything apart from the odd newsletter and details of updates/upgrades.
