South of Berlin tomorrow: 40+

EEEEEK

Yikes! We'll have max 22C according to the forecast. I hope you have some kind of fan in your flat - I just bought a 40cm one with a floor stand for 22€ the other week. It was hotter in here then, as well. Not 40C though!

(Heh, the matching numbers in this post are purely coincidental.)

urghh

well, at least we have a breeze. How is the humidity there? If it is humid and that hot you must suffer.

Arr.. come on guys, let's look on the bright side.. Zebra's thrive at 40+ degrees ;)

There is no bright side. It's midnight and my room is _hot_ and by _hot_ I don't mean the good kind that comes from two bodies heating the room. It's the bad kind from one body and a bunch of electronic equipment causing the room to heat up even more.

My next album will be called "Summer is overrated"

Yeah, Wonshus, that's exactly how it is. Thanks god Ms. J's appartment was a bit colder last night and we kept some unfamiliar distance ;)

Today I'm keeping the windows closed until the sun comes round. Then I'm gonna install a wet white blanket in the windows which should cool it a bit. Might be an urban legend, but I can probably persuade myself to believe it.

Looking forward to air condition in cinema tonite...

Or.. you could take a laptop to the cinema and sit there the whole day coding incognito.

I can imagine you with your wet t-shirts and curtains. Ha ha!

I can certainly recommend that. Got one myself in the room next to the studio. It blows cold air into the studio without disturbing too much and without giving me a cold. Love it!!! :D

Well, it's commonly only 3-5 days in a year where it really sucks. This year is different, and when the climate change goes on like that I'll definately buy stocks of A/C manufacturers...

Good news: I'm closing down on the bug. Looks like a weird problem with the file handling stuff, indeed. I at least managed to make it find the presets and everything, but there's still some weirdness to be hunt down...

And you'll wave those stocks in front of your face then or something? I don't get it... :hihi:

Well I live in Sweden, so good thing is that this A/C of mine also can work as a heater (which is useful 363.5 days per year).

It's been the same here in the UK - I was walking around the garden at 3am in shorts and it was still as hot as a regular summer day. In the daytime, with direct sunshine, it's like an oven at the moment...

(But we like to complain here - most of the year, it's too cold or too wet - as soon as we get one day of heat, everyone moans that it's too hot - and the water companies panic as they're running out of water! Perhaps we should encase the UK in a hermetically sealed, temperature-controlled national millenium dome or something  :nutter: )
