ok maybe we should start another thread about building up a Zebra yahoo group,
or maybe it is a bit redundant, since we have this forum here already.
we can also start threads about technics for programming and tips here too.
and maybe we should ask Urs too.

Hi all,
first off, I wouldn't mind a Zebra group. I just don't think it would ever come close to Yahoo Absynth group, as Zebra (currently) has way less users than Abby. But I'm gonna put quite some effort in spreading word about Zebra in a few months
On the other hand, as you might know, I've already started the Zebra manual as a WordPress thing. This opens up intrigueing possibilities. I.e. people can become co-authors in the tutorial sections. Customers can become users and write comments, whatever.
Problems, feedback and stuff should still go here, into this forum. This is the place. Knowledge should not be burried in hundreds of emails or forum posts, it should become part of the manual/knowledgebase.
Presets should go into a dedicated online database that should be browsable from within the plugin, or from an ordinary webbrowser in case people don't have their audio machine connected to the net. That's supposedly the hardest part though...
Cheers,
Urs

Here's my 11 first patches in case somebody is interested. Not much controller programming in them, though.

Here's some more (require July versions of Zebra2):
http://www.u-he.com/UrsZ2.zip
Check out XY programming on the e-piano
Play certain (low end) notes on "Be Tit" to get the clue
Play "Arp-o-Troniq" as a bass step sequence rather than an arpeggio
Lower volume before playing high notes on the flute (otherwise ear damage)
Note the reverb manipulation technique on "Slabverb Funk Pro"
Enjoy,
Urs

This brings me to another point on patches - every synth should have a notes and author field for every patch imho, as often there are particular things in that patch which may not be obvious (such as particular modulation routings or performance controls...)
Ay least with da Zeb we can use the XY controls and leave some text things in there, which is better than nothing...

Subz, any format is fine. But VST Win does still not support .aupreset, so either .fxp or .h2p is cool.
Plain .h2p (not extended) with "active modules only" is usually the smallest patch format, due to compressed binary data (unless you have crazy waveforms etc.).
