I always use Goldwave for finalizing my rendered tracks and converting them to MP3. It does everything I need it to, was super-affordable, and gets periodic updates although I've never noticed any issues. The perfect tool for getting my stuff into MP3s! :hihi: :D

should only take a few days to master. it's very intuitive and easy to use. check the help file for the keyboard shortcuts, and try all your mouse buttons all over the place. right click works lots of places, and so does even middle click :)

I second all the positive comments here. Goldwave is a bargain for what it does very well. And it loads a lot faster than SF8, which is crucial when used as an external audio from inside your DAW.

what are the differences between Goldwave and Audacity (which is free and there's a plugin for vst support)?

interface, fit and finish, internal optimized effects/procedures, better metering options, support for more formats, batch processing, to name a few :)

grymmjack wrote:@ian; no doubt. i just realized i was using 4.x still :) and updated, but had to contact the dev to use that version. he got back to me in less than an hour and i was up and running. boy what a nice new version 4->5 is. love it much more now in v5.x :)
I had to do something similar, but I'd changed email my addy since buying it. All I had to do was give my name and postal address and like yourself, I was soon up and running > less than 12 hours, which isn't bad considering I'm UK based and the dev is in Canada (I think) I'm no power user, I mainly use Goldwave for the batch conversion feature, it's great :tu:
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.
