I tried installing in Receptor with unsupported method, and it won't even show up in install, with unsupported checked. I loaded the whole folder.

Solved, It put the DLL's outside the folder. A tip from Hybernation:
Load Phrazor .dll in New folder in unsuppoted, then add folder containg all subfolders.

Installs fine but black display. I suspect there are some registry keys that need adding manually.

Yes, Bernie and I both had the dark screen as well until I figured it out. The directory structures have to be just "so":Kermit Jagger wrote:Installs fine but black display. I suspect there are some registry keys that need adding manually.
the main DLL must be in a folder ABOVE the subfolder named Phrazor. Here is a step-by-step that works:
Install Phrazor on the PC. It asks for your vst directory, let's call is "vst" for now:
1) create folder on Receptor in unsupported called Phrazor
2) copy Phrazor.dll from pc "vst" folder to Receptor Phrazor folder
3) copy sub folder from pc "vst" folder call Phrazor to Receptor Phrazor folder (so now you have unsupported/Phrazor/Phrazor folder on the receptor.
Now you should have one and only one pending unsupported install showing on the setup page (the one Phrazor.dll). Install it and go!
This version seems to run pretty well. I was able to record a short MIDI track and play it back. I can see a LOT of potential here for live use!

Thanks. I figured it out when looking at the install in my PC VST folder. Seeing the dll and then a Phrazor folder suggested trying this layout, and it worked fine.
I must admit, it's quite an exciting piece of kit for Receptor as it answers many lacks such as playing midi files. Let's hope the final version will be rock solid on our platform.

Yes, it is a great tool. I needed it in order to have a "transport control" on Receptor for the Jamstix plug-in. But Phrazor's programs can store complete Jamstix settings (Jam, Rhythm, Arrangement, and Mapping tabs), so I can re-configure Jamstix via program changes from a MIDI foot controller.

Greg, are you saying that using Phrazor to feed Jamstix allows the "Jam" features to work on a Receptor???:: ------

Hi,
great to hear that Phrazor runs fine in Receptor. Would it make sense to prepare a dedicated setup for Receptor? May be just a single zip. I don't own a Receptor so I ask you.
If you have Phrazor related questions you can also check the Sonicbytes forum.
Cheers

As long as Phrazor doesn't need any registry key, then we don't need a special version since it's a simple matter of copying the dll and its Phrazor folder to a folder in Receptor.

I am not so sure that wouldn't be advantagious to newbee's like me. If it hadn't been for John and Kermit, I would have to bug Holger.
