What does the preset format switch do? What's the diff between Native, H2p and extended? I'd really prefer it if presets were in fxp/b format so eXt and KORE could read them and then I could load presets without having to leave the synthesis pane.

Native is .fxp in VST and .aupreset in AU - the native preset format for the type of plugin...
.h2p is a text-editable format with a compressed binary chunk
.h2p extended is like .h2p, but with lots of remarks for dummies

.h2p is useful because it lets AU users save patches that can be read with the VST Win version

It's also needed for the inclusion of scripts for the scripting engine.

are there any Zebralette presets out there?

i'm interested to see what one osc & no filter can do at its best (EG; not a preset made by me :hihi: )

You'll be surprised 8)

I will walk through them soonishly, because they have to be resaved with the latest version. Will probably do them in .h2p format so I have to do it only once... (which reminds me... I had a crash yesterday when I tried this... looks like Zebralette does not like the new format yet... gotta fix that)

Zebralette Factory Banks

Here they are:

http://www.u-he.com/ZebraletteFactory.zip

They come in .h2p flavour, so they can only be loaded over Zebralette's/Zebra2's built-in preset browser.

Win users put them here:

C:\program files\u-he\Presets\Zebralette\

and/or

C:\program files\u-he\Presets\Zebra2\

Mac users:

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebralette/

and/or

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/

The latest betas of Zebra2 and Zebralette are needed! See the u-he forum for details...

Enjoy,

;) Urs

I'm doing some sketches with these awesome 1osc&fx patches!
I will post when finished!

Post

yes,

and I still have the feeling it is only scratching the surface.
there must be much much more inside of the Zebralette (Zebra2.

I'd like to have a contest for Z2,
where you have to use only 1 osc, 1 lfo, and 1 MSEG, and some fixed FX.
I thing that would be some fun.

add in a comb module too! and 1 filter... geez

:)

Post

nah no filter and no comb,

that would be too easy ( to make lots a sounds)
and too difficult ( tp choose only the best ones).
