Regarding Arp presets... I'm still looking for a good concept for that. It's a different matter than the other module presets because the module that does it is way bigger than just the Arp. It also does Microtuning and a whole lot of other things that deal with voices. So I have to come up with something like partial module presets... we'll see...

Makes sense... lotta arps in synths are hardly worth using, but this arp is sweeeeet!

In copying an arp I noticed that there is no way to just find the numeric value for arpmod a3 (for example) you have to click on it to see the value, and that changes it. Visually similar is good enough, but if I wanted to duplicate it, don't know if I could.

oh, I'm glad the Zebra2 arp takes its velocity from the played notes, rather than have just a fixed velocity like many arps... good choice! :)

Well, hehe, yes... I'm thinking about making that optional, so that i.e. ArpMod1 could be mapped to velocity for those who prefer step-wise control...

If you urgently need to copy Arp settings from one patch to another, you can still save both as "h2p extended", open both patches in a text editor and copy over all lines for "VCC: VoiceCircuit" from one patch to the other. Or, you just delete everything except that stuff, put "#defaults=no" on top of the patch and then you actually have that as an arp preset that you can load into any other patch (just don't overwrite your original one).

The patch structure is actually pretty open for all sorts of dirty tricks. I can think of coming up with a lot of utility functions for that.

that would be nice option (I've been compiling a list of arp improvements)... I've used the note velocity to drop some arp notes out. I set up a preset so that a low velocity note has no sound, then play a soft note as part of the chord I'm holding

I tried this and it doesnt work here :-(

I made a simple patch and saved it,
I made a simple patch with an arp pattern and saved that in h2p extended

then I opened the arp patch in my openoffice and saved only the VoiceCircuit stuff to a new h2p preset.
this one I loaded in my simple patch, but the ARP doesnt change,
and the settings dont seem to be applied.
maybe I'm doing it wrong?

Send me the patch... I'll look into it...

Sorry, there's no documentation for the format yet...

Urs,
I got it sorted, somehow,
it's working now, (tho it sets the preset bach to the inital one,
I will investigate that more for more details.
)
I must have messed it up when saving the file in my OpenOffice.

I tried it again with the simple editor in WinXP,
and saved as .txt, then I changed it to h2p, and now it works.
tho it is really PITA to edit with that editor.
I gonna try it again in OO later.
