Urs wrote: Still no clue what's up with the missing vector graphics. Next two weeks are a good time to get into that. However, I've got a suspicion now based on the recent gui/crash bug. I've learned a lot on problems on Win where stuff is handled completely different from Mac... that may help to identify it big time! (Win will often just "look away" when a fatal bug occurs while Macs just crash... I do like latter more, because former may not be obvious)

I really hope you'll be able to solve this one Urs, after using Zebra\Podolski and Zebralette on
3 different systems, seeing no vector gfx on all three of them and nobody else having this problem I figured I was going nuts for a moment

The offer still stands, if you need help testing a fix concerning this specific problem feel free to ask.

When I am editing XY parameter names on the Performance page, then I double click to add the text about X/Y paramters, the ESC key closes that edit field. ESC is not working for me and there is no way to close that right now except delete the instance of Zebra.

Can someone else confirm this?
Can someone else on a Mac confirm this?

Hmmm, it works in all hosts on Mac I've tried... which host are you using? Maybe I can detect it and use an ugly close button instead...

hmmm, checked it 3 times, I am using Live

wait a sec... I am using the Live 6 beta! I'll check in Live 5 to see if somhow it is a Live beta problem.

okay... esc works fine in Live 5.2 but is not working in Live 6 beta. Maybe the key is assigned to some Live function in v6?

pdxindy wrote:Another issue maybe...

If I set up a lowpass filter and use the modwheel to do a filter sweep, it has stairstepping... if I use the knob, it is smooth... I know midi has low resolution, but wondering if interpolation/smoothing is working correctly in that case
hey Urs, can you comment about this?

Oops, oh...

Well, I have the same problem but I think it's my broken ModWheel...

However, if that's confirmed by everybody, I'll add a lowpass filter for the Wheel so that the movements will be smooth...

Hey, in Zebralette you can see the 16 waveforms nicely, but in Zebra2 you really can't see them because of the coloring.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to change the color to something else?
And I obviously mean the small pictures at the bottom of the waveform view.

Zebralette skin is very easy on the eyes!

nice :)

Okay, I am trying to test the microtuning feature using my PPC Mac. I obtained the .TUN files from the file linked in the thread http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... &view=next (This is a self-extracting .exe file, but I was able to extract the .rar archive in OS X using File Juicer.)

I have tried both the AU and the VST, and so far I don't seem to hear any change after selecting a .TUN file from the Voice Tuning Table and turning this feature ON. I've tried this with scales that are far from the 12-tone equal tempered scale, just to make sure.

With the AU, I always end up with the host freezing (not responding with a spinning beachball) after changing the Tuning more than a couple times. This happens in Plogue Bidule, Numerology and Live 5. This freezing does not seem to happen with the VST.

With the VST, there are GUI issues with the VoiceCircuit Tuning menu. Long file names extend beyond the end of the menu, and this text extending past the end remains on the screen after closing the menu. After changing the tuning more than a few times, the name of the tuning no longer is displayed above the "Voice Tuning Table" label.

HiYasha... could you post a zipped file of the tun files? (assuming they are good) for us other Mac users :)

I'm looking forward to getting this feature working!!

Hi,

I was a little confused about the .tun files I got, so I've bought a nice little program that comes with a lot of useful tunings. Hope the serials arrive quickly, because save/export is limited to one octave...

I then set up a .tun file by hand in order to have something to measure the tunings for a dozen of notes. Thankfully the result was pretty good. All notes I've put in had the right tuning. Thus I guess the files I have are, uhm, some sort of special high-frequent purpose.

Btw. if tuning doesn't work... Zebra2 needs the so-called Anamark section, marked with the "[Exact Tuning]" tag.

News on MoonDive Bug

Boys, you will not believe it.

I have *never* come across such a weird thing.

Obviously, when you use Sonar on a German system, it will somehow change the system's textual recognition for floating point numbers from a period (like in 3.576) to a comma (like in 3,576). Thus, when my configuration files (or presets!!!) contain floating point values with periods, in Sonar my software will just read the part *before* the period.

And because the knobs have a radius of 0.0 to 0.5, each radius will be set to 0.0, thus making all knobs invisible.

Isn't that something?

:help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:

Oh my goodness...

Wow. Are you sure its actually Sonar that does it, rather than the Localisation stuff withing Windows?

Well, it works normal in every other host, regardless of localization, i.e. Cubase SX... it's only Sonar...

This is so weird...

I hope I don't have to write my own versions of sscanf and printf... I do need this everywhere across the software...

:?
