firstly, Glassback, would you rather I start a new thread or is it ok to post skin related stuff here?
if anyone who's meddled with Oatmeal skins before has the time, can they have a quick look at this skin for me?
all I've done is replace my skins reverb "3" knob with a (very) rough 10 frame slider defined like a knob rather than a slider in the oms.
i thought this should have the same response as a regular knob, but it behaves just like a slider ie. takes 2-3 times more dragging to move from min to max than a knob.
this makes no sense to me so i'm probably being dumb/done something stoopid...
cheers,
.

That's fine - I've got peoples skins on the first post.GaryG wrote:firstly, Glassback, is it ok to post skin related stuff here?
Shall I add this, or is it still WOP?GaryG wrote:When I get time, I'm going to have a go at a knob-based slider to see if that works better than a regular slider.

oh no, it's just a test.Glassback wrote:Shall I add this, or is it still WOP?
What's a WOP anyway? Work ? Progress...
I'm seeing if there's a better way of implementing faders/sliders. I love skins like ezeeboogies Nord based ones but I don't get on with the response of the sliders (i'm getting very repetitive on this subject...

very nice, all sound pretty good to me.emdot_ambient wrote:Just finished this bank . . .
I love your guitar patches. I found a sound similar to these once using Random, nearly took my head off (headphones way too loud...)
Oatmeal still keeps surprising me.

it may be something fuzzpils has to adjust in code.GaryG wrote:firstly, Glassback, would you rather I start a new thread or is it ok to post skin related stuff here?

The behaviour of the sliders is something Fuzzpilz can handle in the code.
Grymmjack, you are right.
I found out that the sliders in 35-5 act the way you want them to, namely very fast.
After that he changed something to make them less responsive ( I liked it ).But it took multiple passes to go from one exteme to another.
I am still using version 35-5 because there is still something wrong with the arp in the later versions.
One other thing is that the reset function ( rightclick middleclick ) doesn't work anymore, with the sliders , wich is a pain in the neck. Try your sliders with the microtuning, move them a bit and try to zero them out, then you know what I mean.
So if you want sliders that work fast install verion 35-5 you miss a few functions but at least the arp works like it should.
Don't know if this answers anything but...
Yeager.

OK.GaryG wrote:oh no, it's just a test.Glassback wrote:Shall I add this, or is it still WOP?
WOP is a very silly mistake that I didn't notice.GaryG wrote:What's a WOP anyway? Work ? Progress...
Ah, shoot, but the I's right next to the O. I meant WIP, of course (Work In Progress).
Yeah, I like the Nord skin as well.GaryG wrote:I'm seeing if there's a better way of implementing faders/sliders. I love skins like ezeeboogies Nord based ones but I don't get on with the response of the sliders (i'm getting very repetitive on this subject...)

Art Vera made some really nice ones but they became outdated pretty much as soon as they came out.

Thanks! Yeah, I got playing with the distortion and all. Those aren't sounds I'd typically program or use, but they fascinated me so I did a few.GaryG wrote:very nice, all sound pretty good to me.emdot_ambient wrote:Just finished this bank . . .

That's the only one I use. Seems to make the otherwise daunting GUI fairly clear.Glassback wrote:Yeah, I like the Nord skin as well.
