Yes you can play/trigger the automation clips via your midi keyboard.. just select the automation clip channel and presto!

Yes I know what you mean that's why I was careful to say imo.
From my perspective Fruity offers no visualization of what is happening in the playlist whatsoever. Sure you can name the blocks and even colour them (pretty stuff) but you can't see what's happening. Other hosts such as Orion, Cubase or even Ableton aint like that.
Or to put it another way if you didn't know the sequence of events UPFRONT all you have is coloured lego blocks.
Which is fine for users who like to build in a predefined way, but it hinders creativity imo.

But - there is no doubt Fruity is a very powerful and a very stable host with some awesome capabilities.
It is close to a perfect host of our time.
