The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Personally I dont think you are a true songwriter until you write the perfect song and spend the next 8 hours destroying it  :x

Post

LOL!! Dude, I have the perfect song already in my head, but it's destroyed upon hitting the first note. Would I still qualify as a "true songwriter"?

I have the same kind of problems. In my FL Studio project folder I have around 50 to 100 started tune but very few finished. I think it's wasted though, because usually it's from noodling & exprimentations that the ideas are coming.

Post

woohoo! decided to go back to my 'old school' ways and actually work out chords and melody before I even open my sequencer. ok, did that and recorded two guitar tracks just so I can remember the vibe I have..practically half-way there. whew..now I need a nap, that was hard work. time to move the dogs off the sofa.
:hihi:

Haha. Sounds like everyone of you here gets random ideas in their heads. Sometimes a nice track comes out, sometimes not. We all learn from EXPERIENCE and that's the great thing about it. :D
Keep on jamming, Hink. Wonder how you'll sound live now.

no doubt. that's the worst kind of "think you were making music when you weren't".

i love the music here at kvr, i've always hated pop music, with their make out parties..... i love the mixes i get from the cafe.... lots of ambient and strange stuff... that i can actually just relax too.

I guess that really depends on how they sound with all their make-up off?
