okay. I've replaced the 64-bit algorithms with 32-bit ones and could gain 60% less cpu hunger for the Shaper modules. I had to add a stability patch for these filters though... it remains to be seen if these do a good job... more testing required...

Well, hehe, sometimes I wished I could do that. On the other hand the problems on Win are mostly performance (sorry boys, Mac *are* way faster in some respect) and stuff I don't know about the system. But everything that works just works. On Macs I have problems whenever Steve Jobs does one of his keynotes - which sometimes just flushes a month of work.VicDiesel wrote:Alternatively just give up on that outdated Windows platform. Give the Mac users something gloat over in the process.

Thanks Urs !Urs wrote:Hey Fots,
I think I'm gonna have a fix for you. I'll make the playback detection more intelligent so that it uses the current behaviour only on hosts that don't send me the right messages. So it should work without wrong assumptions on 95% of all hosts...
Cheers,

Bit of a problem with latest release in Live 5.2.1
As soon as I play a note after launching Z2 (in it's own GUI), everything grinds (almost) to a halt...sound goes off and PC becomes very unresponsive.
Takes ages (even with 3 finger shuffle) to close the app down.
Other hosts I tried quickly seemed OK (SX 2.2, FLS 6, eXT).
Didn't happen with Zebra 2.02.
Obviously something peculiar between Z2 and Live (at least on my setup).

What's your operating system and setup then?basic channel wrote:Obviously something peculiar between Z2 and Live (at least on my setup).
Fortunately I have a direct wire to Ableton, I'll also ask them to do a few checks...

----Hmm, I'm reading no presets for the Zebraverb, and none for Zebralette either. I of course downloaded the Zebralette seperate preset download file, and put it in the same folder as all 3 Zebra .dll's are in. I tried importing a bank/preset, but FL Studio only allows for .fxb/.fxp files to be loaded in manually. Is there a work-around for that, or should I place the Zebralette presets somewhere else specifically to get them to read ? And the same for the Zebraverb presets, if there are any. Thanks much

----Thanks, that did itthecontrolcentre wrote:you have to put the Zebralette presets inside the zebralette folder in the u-he folder in Program Files ... and you have to register zebraverb to get the presets
----I don't understand the having to register Zverb for the presets though, it says registered to my name right in the center of the Gui. Can you explain further ? Thanks again.

----Hmm, Zebralette's been running stable for about 20 minutes now, not sure why I had so many problems at first there. Great addition to the Zebra family, kinda different than Zebra, yet still amazingly powerful
I'm still interested in the Zverb presets though if possible.

ZRev presets?!?
Sorry guys, there are none at this point...
ZRev was merely an accident. I came up with it for beta testers to dial in some nice rooms, but I accidentally left it in the Audio Units preview. So, as life happens, some AU users had already used it in their songs. When I told them that it wouldn't be in the final, they mail bombed me (like Mac users sometimes do) and I had to promise to keep it in. Which lowered my mail traffic significantly. So here it is, naked, an obscure add-on, but d'oh, someone might find it useful. Just, no presets. However, send some and I'll put them in

----Re : Zrev. That's cool, at least it exists
Weren't you saying earlier this year that there'd be a Zebra 2 effects plug, like all the effects in a seperate plug ? I'm sure hoping that's still going to happen sometime down the road
----Zebralette is awesome btw, very stylish looking and very interesting to program/mess with

That's an option I'm indeed thinking of...liars&ashes wrote:Weren't you saying earlier this year that there'd be a Zebra 2 effects plug, like all the effects in a seperate plug ?
... lemme get it all going, all bugs removed and we can talk about further add-ons...
Cheers,
