first, you gotta have your notes ready in the piano roll. no expression or anything.

then, in the pattern that has the notes insert the fruity controller.

i don't know how much you know. maybe more detail than you need.

don't snap notes to grid for the expression. use very short notes.. bla bla.

I am still missing one controller.
I am on a midi guitar and my left hand is controlling both notes and expression, in other words ignore my stupid playing but pay attention to the expressiveness of the

I'm hesitant to say anything, because I think Guido is a genius, and I'll be forever grateful for the Mr series (which I donated for), but I'm confused by what you guys are hearing - it doesn't sound at ALL like a sax to me.

I realise we're entering new territory with PM and all that, so kudos for that...

To us none sax players it almost sounds like a real sax but I can imagine it will sound weired to a real sax player.

In any case it's a fun instrument to play.

I think if you could relay to Guido what exactly is fake about it, in a way he will understand it, maybe he can improve on it.
I remember huge improvements on the trumpet after some feedback from players like you.

yea it sounds nothing like a real sax. but a very cool PM of some kind of wind instrument....theres still some anomalies tho

I'm not a sax player, actually - I play flute, but my main instruments are keys and vocals...

I'd certainly like to help, but it's hard to describe what I don't think is realistic about it - for one thing, it sounds more like a brass instrument than a wind instrument a lot of the time...

I'll keep listening, anyway!

PLEASE NOTE: Miles'Tone and Sax-o-phunk are still beta versions,
so the registration utility won't store reg. info for them into
the registry. If you want to get rid of the nag screen, you
have to wait until these plugins will be officially released
and the reg. utility will be updated.

anyway that's cool didn't knew it was a donation for all so i will give a little more next time cause your plugins are splendid

heheh well sax is brass, (unless you have those silver and/or gold models), and was invented as a crossover between brass and winds. the hope was that it would sound like a trumpet but be as easy to play as a reed. its tone shares a lot of qualities of both and of course a lot of its own. depending on phrasing sax can sound a lot like trumpet, branford on that sting tune fortress around my heart or whatever its called is an example that pops to mind. theres a guy in town i play with whos altissimo is so powerful it soulds like a scream trumpet and has fooled me.

theres no denying the physical modeling of reed, ligature, mouthpiece, crook, keys and pads, body, and even further into players tobgue and lungs isnt going to be daunting, you could spend an infinity modeling it down to infinity.

applause to guido for being one of the few with the chimichangas to attempt the climb.

I don't think it sounds like a saxophone either, but it reminds me of one, and I love the sound anyhow.

I'd love to hear how it sounds in rock.

Those are the ones that come to mind. Seems like the 70s and 80s had tons of rock sax solos.
