Just want to let you know, that you can also get the latest version 1.5.6
It already has some improvements for the 'Overview' window, but most important it should work with the shortcuts [del] etc. in every host (without side effects) now. There was a simple typo in my code.
Unfortunately I can not check it, so it'll be nice if someone with nuendo/cubase can confirm whether this is fixed now.
Thanks in advance,
Christian

We're kind of busy these days. I do have my last exams this summer and so I only have a few time which I'd rather spend on coding. The other guys usually do the rest. Unfortunately they are both very busy right now.zvenx wrote:ok, just saw this. will check and let you know. cause you know I complained to you SEVERAL times in emails.

Anyway, we have just put the official version 1.5.5 on our server (unfortunately the one which doesn't have the working shortcuts yet). The official newsletter will go out tonight or tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Christian

Unfortunately we had to change the FOURCC code inside the plugin, since it is already in use by two other plugins.mljung wrote:![]()
unfortunately the new 1.5.5 isn't backward compatible in Wavelab. Projects made when the 1.5.4 was installed, suddently can't load after updating! Wavelab simply reports that the plugin isn't installed

A fix/workaround will be available within the next days.
The new internal FOURCC 'AXEQ' has been registered at steinbergs website and it seems to be unique, so this will be no problem from now on.
Sorry for this inconvenience,
Christian
[EDIT]I just made a fix/workaround. With that you can reset the unique-ID to the old value. It will be available tomorrow and should only be applied if you have the above problem. Then you can either you keep the previously used ID or you can use it to save/load your settings via the own format.[/EDIT]

EnergyXT managed to ignore the change - it gave me a message saying "mismatched plugin id" at startup, but loaded Electri-Q with the same settings nonetheless. Once I saved, the message went away as well.

That's how it should be. Anyway, a new version 1.5.6 is already on our server. With this version you can apply this patchrobenestobenz wrote:EnergyXT managed to ignore the change - it gave me a message saying "mismatched plugin id" at startup, but loaded Electri-Q with the same settings nonetheless. In case of an ID Problem, download and extract the ZIP. By doubleclicking the 'Old ID.reg' you can switch to the previously used ID, with 'New ID.reg' you can use the currently used ID.
With the old ID loading presets should work again as expected. If you havn't have a problem working with the old ID, then there's no problem to keep the patch. However, if you like to switch back to the new ID, you can use this to save your presets/banks.
Sorry once again for this inconvenience,
Christian

I do not have Wavelab 6, but with every other host the combination new version and fix does work. However, perhaps the bug isn't related to the changed IDmljung wrote:Thanks Christian - sadly the fix didn't fix the problem here in WL6. Still the same situation, I had to reinstall 1.5.4 to make it work
Another idea is to have both version installed parallel. This should be possible. Just rename the 1.5.4 version and install the 1.5.6 version in another directory. WL6 should find the right version automatically then.
Kind regards,
Christian
P.S.: If there are further issues, you can send us a mail to speed up things.

Total longshot, but I'm just bumping this post in case anyone might have a backup copy of the registry patch Christian posted below? I'm trying to open an old old project which was saved with the earlier VST ID, and that patch is my best shot of actually doing it.
Have tried the Wayback Machine but it seems it never took a snapshot of that file.
