xmas tube has an interesting nasaly grind in its tone that makes it stand apart from the others. I've always liked that about it. The only reason I don't use it so much is because of all that low end (waaaaay too much for a mix) and no EQ. But I like having it around to use every now and then. It's definately a keeper.

Its certainly pretty easy to add a post-xmastube EQ. For that matter, its pretty easy to add a pre-xmastube EQ, I guess.

About as easy as:chrishurley wrote:Its certainly pretty easy to add a post-xmastube EQ. For that matter, its pretty easy to add a pre-xmastube EQ, I guess.
1) add a post- or pre-xmastube amp sim,
2) delete xmastube,
3) start playing.

Hey Hinky, I got no problem with that at all, but did you have to do it in this now-certain, never-to-be-resurrected, thread?Hink wrote:so I could brag againO.L.T wrote:

it's nice with the marshall pre-amp, but all of that rack gear is getting stored away...but I'd trash the Peavey first...use it for a boat anchor or something.kilroy wrote:Hink...grow up and bin that Aphex unit, mate.
O.L.T., it was my turn to bump it
I know I'm taking too much mileage from that joke
