What is a quick and easy way to import Kompakt Libs like Morphology or converted AKAI Sounds to Receptor...?
Where to put the Lib-Files, where the Instruments...?
How will Receptor "convert" the instruments to its own format, so you can change via ProgramChange?

Copy the the samples and the instruments to the Samples folder. Try to put them in their own folder, although you don't have to. Open the instrument you want in Kompakt using the browser. Save it as a Receptor patch. Then, you can load that patch any time with a Program Change.

bringing up an old topic...did a search for morphology and this is all i found...

so i have the morphology library stored on the receptor now...and i activated the 30day trial of kompakt to see how this works. but i tried pointing the library to the new folder and it says 'no suitable content file was found at the selected location!'. so i try to drag and drop an individual instrument to track 1 and i get "the content you are trying to load is not registered! please be sure to start the application that came with the content at once!"

so i tried putting the morphologyvst.dll in the unsupported plugins folder and install it. it tried to install it then i got some error like i needed to run the registration program to get the correct serial #, but morphology never showed up in the list of programs to run a registration tool on.

any thoughts?

Indeed you must actually install and authorize the "Morphology.dll" on the receptor in order to be able to read it's samples into Kompakt or Kontakt2. Even though Muse doesn't currently provide an "installer" for Morphology it's not that hard to do it yourself. I have documented this process (which works for all Kompakt-based instruments like Vapor, Nostalgia and Morphology) and put the document in the Receptorized forum at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/re ... %20tricks/

you will have to actually "join" this forum to get access (or pm me).

Also, you'll need to get the WINE version of "Regedit" for Receptor from the Muse folks in order to perform the process of authorizing Morphology on Receptor (detailed in the document are what you must DO with "Regedit"...just adding a few keys, not dangerous stuff at all really).

Lastly, I highly recommend Kontakt2 on Receptor. It too can load any Kompakt/Kontakt library which is installed/authorized, and it's power FAR exceeds Kompakt.

hope this helps!

thanks for the quick reply. i read over the instructions briefly. i already have kontakt 2, so that should work nicely with the morphology library.

so i need to put in a help ticket i suppose to get the "WINE version of Regedit" ?

Thanks again!
