Don't let inadequately tested bloatware do to you what Cubase did to Tina Turner.

Steinberg? Just say no.

@ headquest:

Freeze was:
- incredibly slow
- not very useful (there's not much you can do with a frozen track, bouncing tracks is preferable)

it still is, in SX2.

so, what i meant was: Steinberg has a tradition of adding flashy features in a makeshift way that renders 'em useless.

I'm now mildly curious what they've possibly done to the graphical side in nuendo4. I mean C4 does now look refreshing after all those years of 'cheap hooker eye shadow blue'[tm] and 'fisher-price icon blocks for the whole family'[tm].

What I'm looking forward to most are the supposed audio engine improvements, routing, (hopefully) fixed multimonitor and workspace control & editor linking, and the euphonix improved automation.

Not about the change hosts here so best make the most of it, eh?

yep, atrocious way of adding slap-on halfway thought through features, that cause all kinds of trouble around the places. It's even worse when it's something very global like editor linking & workspaces. The poor user has no choice but to *not* use those features to the full extent.

Cheers.

Looks very promising. I wonder what the Insert Routing can be used for and what type of plugin ModMachine is :)

On the official Cubase forum, an administrator says that no informations about the product will be released before the end of september.

The thing that is sure is that they will made a full presentation and demonstration at the 121st AES in San Francisco in the first half of october.

Cool. Man, I'm getting sick of the photo of Patti Labelle...
