Global sustain lost

Help needed please!

I have just developed a bit of a problem. One of my plugs crashed for some reason and it restarted, I did a triple click setup, and now I have lost the sustain function. It switches my leslie off and on on my B42 so it is transmitting to receptor, and the sustain works fine on my controller (Nord Electro 2) but it's not sustaining piano plugs. It was working fine 20minutes ago before it went a bit screwy.

Any ideas what could be up? The plug that crashed was GPO and I know it globally turns off sustain if it's set to midi switch, but i checked that and it's set to normal function.

Thanks in advance

Sorted it! Not sure what I did though, Multi triple click again , restarted it, and it's working again.! Phew! Panic over!

It seems to be that when engaged in organ mode on electro it sends a different cc message as it operates leslie speed with on board organ.

You can always remap the controls within B4 II - just be sure you don't overwrite an existing controller (gain Leslie speed, lose drawbar 2...)

Yeah, it's only when i switch to organ mode on electro do i lose the sustain facility on my pedal. I turned off bank select on receptor so now when i switch to a piano sound on electro the sustain kicks back in and it doesnt change my presets on receptor at all. Might try my B4D now and see if that sorts the preset buttons screwing around with presets on Receptor.

c3Boy, I know this is a bit off topic but how versatile is the nord electro 2 as a controller? Are you just using as a basic keyboard controller i.e. no program changes or CC sends?

Im using the Electro 2 73 as a controller for piano and organ now. The CME UF7 I have doesnt have any assignable buttons for me to control vibrato/ percussion etc on B4 2. I worked out that when Electro is set to organ mode it doesnt send sustain cc which is why i lost sustain on everything i needed to sustain! So I turned off program change on receptor so it doesnt transmit any info to receptor apart from cc, and now i can just switch the electro to organ/piano mode depending on the plug assigned to it. And I have sorted a controller map for B42/Electro compatability

Shame as the CME is nice keyboard feel for organ. The electro has a dedicated socket for leslie switching on the back as opposed to using the sustain socket, so switching between organ/piano is not a problem. Plus it has a control socket to for an expression pedal. I think it's a great controller for organ/piano, with it's 3 controller inputs plus with the bonus of having great sounds on board should the worst happen to receptor.
