Put the locators at the start and end of your track. Mute anything you don't want in the mixdown.
Go to File>Export>Audio Mixdown (or something). Select the properties of the exported file. If you plan to burn to cd, you want 44.1/16 stereo wav. Remember to include any automation and plugins you are using by clicking in the boxes.
Press ok.
Open a new project, and inport this new stereo wav file.
You are now ready to "master" it.
Mastering is usually associated with a series of tracks, where you balance and polish the overall sound, like when preparing to burn a cd.

dblock thinks he need to export two tracks somehow... Read the thread again.. What I'm saying is, all he need is to simply export audio - which will produce ONE audio file. And that's all he need for mastering - if you want it left and right separately, Cubase SX will ask you while importing it back again...And for mastering I use two tracks with the same audio - to A/B - which means I can compare the result with the original by muting / unmuting the processed or the original audio track.... Is it clear now?

I was responding to this: "Thanks Windschatten. It's basically how to make the 8 tracks of cubase mix into 2 tracks to put into the 2 track mastering part of cubase or any mastering program".. Those "2 tracks" confused me
