Neat Trick - controlling Line In

Greg,
I wonder if GH_LRSelector could solve the following problem:
I play a MIDI accordion and have a momentary foot switch and a swell pedal. I want to control the Leslie on Native Instruments B4II. Unfortunately my momentary switch sends CC#1 with a value of 127. It doesn't send a value of "0". Therefore, I can only turn the Leslie on, but I can't turn it off.
Any help would be appreciated.

Phil,
Hmmm... Maybe you could put GH-LRSelector after B4II, with a clean signal in the left channel and Leslie-affected signal in the right channel (I'm not sure if B4II can do this), then choose between them with GH-LRSelector. But I think the problem would still be your "one way" momentary switch.

Greg, I just tried the plug on channel 16, slot 16. It would not respond to cc#31 sent as toggle 0-127. There is no way to tell mixer track 16 to listen to midi on a specific channel. How do I make this work?

Dasher, I took another look at this, and you found something: when a Receptor channel is set to "Line In" or similar, the (Receptor) MIDI Filter button is missing. I consider this to be a shortcoming of Receptor that should be addressed (along with other MIDI-routing FRs).
My plugin does respond to CC#31, as either a 0-127 toggle or as a slider, but make sure that "Route MIDI CCs to Source Plugin" is ON/CHECKED. And note that the CC#31 mute control is independant of the Mute button on the plugin's GUI. However, the problem is that it responds to CC#31 on ALL MIDI channels. To overcome this, I need to add a channel selector/filter on the plugin. I'll get to this tonight or tomorrow.

Actually, we may make this work with patch changes on ch 16 - I have a on and an off patch that I can switch between, if Receptor will pass it through. I'll try that this morning and report back (probably just edit this post...)

Just a quick update: I've made a new version with a MIDI channel selector/filter and working CCs. It's not uploaded yet, because it's not quite finished and it's really late here... I'll try to upload in the next day or so.

Now updated to GH-LRSelector 2006-08-28. In the previous version, there was a missing internal connection and the output was configured as two mono outs, instead of one stereo out. I think I've got it right this time...

Didn't get a chance before - working great! Toggles perfectly, this is a great tool, especially now that it has the extra features. Thanks greatly, Greg...
