Nice sound liqih, but I seem to have trouble with runing all SM plugs under Windows 2000
Simple and repetive are my middle names

Not sure if it's a Win2K problem, I've been using S|M for well over a year on a Win2K SP4 machine without any OS specific problems. Weird!

Does this have a random preset generator, like some of your other work?? The chaos created does sometimes help in the preset-making process.

Quick, scary thought:In 200 years, all those cheesy 80's songs will be considered "classical" music....

PRESETS WELCOME!

Post

Looks and sounds great, your using SM for this right, does it work better than a C coded version would? Or were you going to turn it into a coded version later if people like it, im currently using SE to make stuff but i want to learn how to code sometime :D Anyway great synth :)

runagate Acidome presets 1

Here's 24 presets for you.

I love the real-time waveform-drawing soooo much.

I don't even know how you could have gotten those sick
burbling, squelchy filters.

Needless to say my presets are performance-sensitive.
I made most so that they're wicked stacatto like I play
but will be something for the techno people when they
sustain it into a pad, too.

And, of course, it's all acedemic as you say we're awaiting
a next version of the beta for serious sound design but I
thought I'd toss these out for examples of Acidome getting weird. :P :P :P

no, it's just so much faster to build the interface in SM,
and if the performance is good I can sell the synth at a lower price since the development time is shorter

a natively C++ coded version would be necessary for a more complex synth and for Mac version if needed,
so yes any exapnsion from the current version will need a natively C++ coded version,

thanks for the comments, <grin>

thanks so much!,

yeah the the real-time waveform-drawing is quite cool, <grin>

the new version for presets design will be ready tomorrow,
unfortunately that will not load the old presets
but maybe I can convert them

Post

Lol, don't worry about it.
I know how I made them :)
Here's an mp3 of a simple phrase and 2 held notes
with each of the presets. There's some clicks since it's just mp3s rendered then strung together and mp3s
come with that annoying little space at the ends.

23 presets demo. Not a aong but it shows a range of possible Acidome sounds.
