I put two lines of text in the screenshot: I load the first instance of the plugin in the track that I want to be affected (the receiver) and I load the second instance (the sender) in the track that has to drive the other plugin.
Perhaps this order is important?

brok -- I'm not personally knowledgeable about this, but - I remember a post, maybe in the EXT forum, saying that EXT rejuvenated Logic for them, because you could put VSTs in EXT that wouldn't run in Logic, then run EXT as a VST in Logic. Might be able to get you to the result you want, though somewhat more complicated that way...
