Hey All,

I am new to Receptor, and am using it as a drum module for use with my Zendrum Midi controller, both live on stage and in studio situations. I am using DFH Superior/Custom & Vintage/etc., and am having an issue that no one seems to be able to help me resolve.

The kits can be set to "Cached Mode", where the samples do NOT auto-load...they don't load until called for via Midi. Major pain for a live user. The problem is, the Cached mode is turning itself on for some reason...and once a kit has it ON, no matter what I do, I cannot turn it off. I can switch it off manually and save the patch, and the next time I load it, Cached Mode is back on. I simply CANNOT figure out what it is that I am doing to make the darn thing appear!

The factory kits made by Alternate Mode work great without doing the Cached dance, but once I start to edit, at some point it happens. For the record, the "Force Cached Mode" switch is OFF and does not seem to be turning itself on.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, and thanks!

on the settings page do you forced cache enabled?
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Hey Hink,

Thanks for responding!

That's the wierd thing...no, the forced cache is NOT on...and even when Receptor "magically" turns cached mode on, the Forced Mode stays off.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Jer

When you turn off cached mode, you have to go into the main window before you save the patch. If you save it while in the construction window, it doesn't stick. This happenened to me over the weekend and I remembered reading this post, so I thought I'd share...

Hope that helps.

Very interesting... I'm going to be using DFH on Receptor this weekend, so I'm sure glad I read this post!
