Has anyone figured out how to install Korg Legacy Edition?

It uses the Synchro dongle, so iLok can't see it, but it sure would be sweet to have the Wavetation on here...

I have installed the serial version of Legacy and have all plugs working apart from LegacyCell which conflicts with WINE.
Check receptorized on Yahoo groups so see how it's done.

Kermit, that's the one with the USB controller, right? Ths is the software-only version, ships with M1 (ugh, hated it, still do...) and Wavestation (love it, a must-have if possible.)
But I don't know how to get a Syncho-locked app into Receptor.

Then you're talking about the Digital Edition, and no, it cannot be installed.
Mind you, if you're only after the Wavestation module, then the original Legacy has it.

Yeah, but I own the Digital Edition, which I bought before I found out it uses a Synchrosoft dongle - I don't use dongled software in my studio, with the exception of Waves, and I won't make that misake again...

Then you cannot do anything with it on Receptor for the time being, until Muse say they now support the syncrosoft system as well.

I know you are, I'm just yankin' yer chain a tiny bit, just teasing. This box is such a great tool that if something I really, really want like Wavestatioon isn't running (yet) I'm not at all upset (please ignore the sounds of weeping and grashing of teeth in the background.)

Mind you, even the old Legacy is not running entirely smoothly. LegacyCell just refuses to work. Wine moans about it. But Polysix, MS-20 and Wavestation do run fine.

I just want the Wavestation, so I'm fine with that - although there are probably folks with fond memories of the M1, I always felt it was a dangerous instrument - example: bring up a sax patch, it sounds horrible. Play it ten minutes and you start feeling, "That's not as bad as I thought," and an hour later it sounds fine. But when you reboot, it sounds horrible again... (at least to my ears.) But Wavestation has all those gorgeous pads and leads...

Am I missing something here? I just tried to install Polysix, MS-20 and Wavestation through the unsupported method and they all failed!

Thanks Kermit. This is quite an elaborate process. I printed OGG's instructions and will try it tonight.Kermit Jagger wrote:Follow my faq via receptorized.
