Hello. I would think that a phrase looper would be amazing. However, it does seem that a looper might be out of place in FreeAmp. But man that make me poop!

sorry, needed one day moreRChler wrote:thanks,I did...doesnt work that well because the same problem with the dying Noise occurs...asseca wrote:Try the GVST GGate plugin ... http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1297.htmlRChler wrote:would there be a way to make the gate closing envelope more smooth or use another plugin to do that job ?
imo the problem is that the gate does not close either smooth or fast enoguh and that the correct threshold between silence and "mute-touch" of the strings is quite difficult to find ...
i'm about to try some gates with more envelope parameters i found online to achieve smoother gating...i'll report tomorrow
this one does it very well

although you need to tweak around a bit, up to the preset and guitar and sometimes even Pickup you use...
now i have this dry speedmetal chunk

Will have to check that gate? Maybe it will give me some ideas to improve the internal gate in FreeAmp?
i think what makes it so very tight is the Key-Frequency-Range and the VERY short decay time...

Another really nice gate/expander is the digitalfishphones Floorfish. It's kinda tweaky, but I can get this expander to absolutely leave the tone/dynamics alone and tame the noise from even my noisiest Danelectro pickups.

Thanks I will have a look\listen to that one also, funny with all the work I have done of tracking a guitars signal in my synths! you would think a simple noise gate would be easyguitarzan wrote:Another really nice gate/expander is the digitalfishphones Floorfish. BTW! working on a circuit to add to the dynamics of the amp, I got side-tracked again

Could be a bit! I am working right now on the pre-amp, seems to be turning out quite well? already have rebuilt the eq, Then I have to work out the speaker emulations.dickiefunk wrote:Hi. I already use FreeAmp2 and I think it's superb. Any ideas when FreeAmp3 will be released? Can't wait!!!
Will also have an extra version which is an overdrive, preamp and eq. It will be designed to be used with speaker cab impulses (you will need a convolution plugin to use, check out the voxengo stuff for that) Really seems to be turning out very well, and I love what IR speakers do to the tone, and the many options they offer. Great for the people out there who want to use different VST FX chains (there are so many good ones out there) can't blame them for wanting to use them
Peace

you can use host to do the randomization. something like ext has it built in, and cantabile 1.2 (which is coming soon) also has it.pgvpgv333 wrote:Hi and thanks for the Freeamp it is so good!
