I wanted to give back something to my community that's provided me with endless audio riches!
Dirty Sanchez VST - thanks to opia for hosting it!
Thanks to vurt for mirroring it for mevurt wrote:dirty sanchez mirror
It's an FSU VST plug-in. Results vary from storms of white noise, self-oscillating autowah delays, chaotic flanging, to chiming fractalistic comb filters. Sounds cool? Not really; it mostly makes horrendous noise. Therefore there's a preset bank provided.
- Zero-Crossing detector modulates the delay time.
Envelope Follower modulates the Delay Feedback and the VCF's Frequency
ADSR and LFO modulate the VCF's Q parameter, with a control to control the amount of moulation for each and an attenuation knob for the mix thereof.
Stereo input is split into 2 separate mono flowpaths to up to 1000 ms of delay then into 2 VCFs then are remixed into stereo before the output.
Thus you get a VCFiltered delay, the echoes of which are modulated by the audio's amplitude and zero-crossing rate (the complexity of the sound greatly increases the modulation amount).
CAUTION: I am not a coder! It could potentially blow your speakers to smithereens! There is no control for wet/dry level, there is no volume control. The actual effects created are very, very sensitive to volume so experiment with the input volume, starting off LOW.
The internal volume of the plug-in is uncontrolled and may cause the plug-in to shortcircuit and not respond until you stop your DAW (which hopefully sends it a midi-off message like FL does) and then you can get it to work again by setting the input volume lower and pressing play again.
I strongly recommend putting a hard limiter both before and after the plug.
I haven't the slightest idea how to get the plug to autoload a default bank of presets so you've got to load the bank I made manually. An .fxb is provided in the archive.
This plug-in is not optimised in any way.
There is no GUI. Hopefully your host has a default one.
This plug-in is freeware. You can do anything you want with it, pass it on to anyone. If someone wants to host it somewhere that'd be great.
Make some sounds with it and send me a link to hear it.
I'd particularly appreciate any presets you come up with.
I am not a Dev so there's no support and there'll be no updates. Please, please don't blow your speakers to pices with this plug-in.
I'll post some mp3 demos eventually.
