Seriously, older versions did this. I was flooded with support requests. I have to clear the buffers.

It might also be that some paging is going on, but I don't know under which conditions that might happen.

We'll see. As I said, it'll improve over time. One thing I havn't added to my engine yet is global preferences. If I added that, I could make the behaviour optional, adjustable to personal taste.

Hey Urs,
So, incredible synth. Even as a newbie I can appreciate that. I'm new enough that I'd find a manual helpful...most of the KVR'ers (posters, anyway) know enough about synths to have an intuitive feel for what I think are some subtle/complex parts of your synth...I need more to progress beyond either patch tweaking or blind experimentation. The wiki-style zebra manual site is fairly sparse still. No rush, but just to plan (daydream, drool): is the plan to wait for us, the userbase, make the manual in true wiki fashion, or is there a time when you'll get caught up enough with the rest of your life after giving birth to the big Z2 baby when you plan to write a manual?

Host: Digital performer 4.5
Bug: DP starts AU verification then hangs. Must turn off the power to regain control of OS.

Hi jscquire1,

since I'm the one who wrote what's there and will expand on it too I'd like to ask you where specifically I should go more into detail.

Keep in mind that we are also working on on-screen video tutorials to show the basic programming of Zebra.

But you can always feel free to ask in here, perhaps we could start another thread on the usage of Zebra so it's out of the development thread.

I'm going to uninstall & reinstall, but I've had Zebra 2 totally halt my Toshiba Laptop in Live 6 three times now.

Just browsing through presets and the computer totally freezes & I have to hold down the power button...

Ooops, that's a new one. Is it reproducable, and if so, between which presets does it happen?

I was using Live 6 (beta 13 I believe) on a macbook pro while using zebra 2 without any problems.

Is there anything known where DP has problems with multiple AU components inside 1 component file (i.e. Apple AUs, Filterscape)?

Hey Urs-

Just wanted to let you know that I (finally) got my studio back together and hooked Zebra2 up to my Kurzweil MIDIBoard, running through Logic Pro. Zebra2 responds properly to channel (mono) aftertouch, but does not respond at all to key (poly) aftertouch. I double checked the MIDIBoard with other soundsources that respond properly to PolyAT, and it is working normally. I hope either I am doing something wrong or you will be able to put that back into Zebra2. Thanks!

I have recently double- and triplechecked it, but my Ensoniq keyboard is slowly gonny die

- the few PolyAT messages that came out of it were handled properly... hmmm...

Maybe it's the transpose thing... can you check if it's different when you put the master transpose to 0 or -12?

Well, that seems to be related- when I reset transposition (which had been at -12 for this preset) to 0, PolyAT functioned normally(!).

Also, I have noticed in the Mod matrix that once you have selected the Modulator, you can't change it, even if you deselect the Target. Same with Via. No menu will come up.

btw- you have GOT to hear how things sound with PolyAT- I tweaked "Lost Out There 2" simply by adding +PolyAT to Filter cutoff, and -PolyAT to resonance....holy kee-rap!

Yes, the menu will come up, but you have to ctrl-click (right-click) to bring it up. It's the same with every assignable modulator knob.
