I am thinking of buying a Muse Receptor secondhand from someone I know. I noticed at the plugorama website that you need to register you Receptor in order to get updates etc. Is it possible to move the registration to another person? Because the previous owner has probably already registered the Receptor to his name. And now I am going to buy it from him so the registration should be moved to my name. Is this possible?

It is possible. You'll need to contact the iLok people to get the change of reg. Muse will simply register your Receptor.

Will Muse also register the Receptor if it's serial was registered previously by someone else then?

Yes. But the iLok plugs will be dealt with by iLok re transfer of ownership.

Ownership of the software is completely separate from ownership of the hardware, be sure to get clear with the former owner EXACTLY what he/she is to do with the licenses - transfer to you? transfer to another computer? Then be sure to de-register andclean out the Receptor, some vendors get real proprietary about transfers...
