I know it is not supported yet. I thought I read that people were succussful using it though. If anyone can give me a step by step on how to do this, I would be greatful. I would like to use it for a rehearsal tomorrow and I wanted to test it out tonight.

FYI - I am talking about the full version and not the trial. The trial works fine because it does not require any type of activation.

Thanks!

I don't think many folks, if anyone besides you, have purchased this for Receptor yet. I have the demo installed and plan on purchasing it when it is supported. It doesn't compare to Ivory, but it is incredibly handy, uses no sample RAM, and is simply fun to play.
Anyway....if you can describe the copy protection method, someone might be able to help you out from experience with similar products.

Thanks for replying. Below is what happens after installation and you try to use pianoteq for the 1st time.

1. Splash screen comes up. The screen tells your system specs, pianoteq version, and copyright info. Also on the screen is a message that says, "Welcome to Pianoteq! Your copy must be activated before first usage. Click anywhere to launch the activation application."

2. Next you get a Pianoteq Activation window (it is actually an application/.exe in the vst folder). It says Enter your Serial Number here and gives you the option to activate manually or quick activation (requires internet connection).

3. If you hit quick activation it takes a while but it says something like thanks for activating pianoteq. If you hit manual activation it asks you to open a url to get the activation key. Once you have the activation key you paste it and save the key.

I hope this is enough info to work this out. Thank you for any help you can give. I should have researched more before buying or just purchased ivory instead.
