This update looks to be the truth. It seems to have added many of the things that I found to be great about Logic in my recent switch. Now I wonder if I switched too soon. LOL. Well, I can still upgrade to this version of Cubase. The one thing that I liked about Logic though was that you could see all mixer parameters at once in the Track Inspector. Looking at the Project View screenshot of Cubase 4, it looks like it did before where you could see just one item at a time. It did say that it's customizeable though. I also hope that it's now possible to export all tracks to separate wave files simultaneously. That's at the top of my list.

Yeah, I agree: I wonder why, with larger monitors being common now, they waste all that real estate with one parameter at a time. You could fit most of the important stuff in the Track Inspector, I would think. At least they changed it to a single-click to expand the sections instead of the ol' Carpel-Tunnely double-click.

A lot of what we're seeing in Cubase 4 are the precise wishes that we've seen posted on the net as well as complaints being addressed. It's great to see that we're being listened to by a company big enough to make things happen, and small enough to listen. It's like we're writing our own software.

Yes, I agree it's great to see some very specific requests being filled. I wouldn't go quite as far as, "It's like we're writing our own software", but hey, I haven't tried it yet, who knows?

i think so too - but
- Kore has real knobs
- all NI instrument presets are set up for Kore now

- drag 'n' drop insert FX
- track presets
- the preset/audio file browser/database

easy sidechaining would be wonderful - but as of now it's just a promise...

If I understand it correctly, it's possible to put vsti-presets in it too. That would make the Kore software redundant for me. And if I could control it with my BCF, I probably wouldn't need the Kore hardware (which I was considering to purchase for the Kore software) at all. But I doubt that's possible.
