Re:RevalverMkII.

Wowie, that Dimitar "Glowing hi-gain rock" (which is more bluesy than higain) clip sounds very good.

Doesn't anybody remember all the hype (thanks Squids) there was regarding Amplitube 2? Well, the damn thing is out, and nobody is talking about it anymore. It's good for bedroom practice, as is Guitar Rig and GTR. But nothing spectacular. And I would never use any of these things in a live situation.

So, I don't really understand why people are still waiting for Midiworks' plugin...

If I had a laptop I would use AT2 live in a heartbeat.

I listened to the ReValver MkII demos on their site... well the blues tube tone is really nice, but still have to hear an earth shattering Hi Tone with a huge Chugga-Chugga factor.

I would be more than curious to know then how you would change your presets, unless you only use one sound when playing the guitar... Right now you can only do that with the mouse. Not to mention the silence happening when changing presets, which makes AT2 totally unusable live.

I wouldn't change presets during songs.

translation= "uhm.....I never thought of that" :P ...my question is can preset changes be done remotely from within a host...because they make midi pedal boards...;)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

 (you got me)

He's right though... AT2 wouldn't work too well because there is weird glitches and "jumps" in the sound when you change patches... I really hope that the Stomp IO does something to alliviate this or they release an update to fix it, because a lot of people will be pissed to find out that their software doesn't work how it should.

Thankfully I am miles away from even being on a stage let alone on a stage with AT2, so I'm not that pissed off about it. I generally render clips and re-use the single instance of AT2 that my computer can handle at lower latencies. :(

Actually, you could and can use AT2 or 1 live and change presets within songs with little or no glitching.
First, you need to buy Brainspawn Forte Ensemble.
Second, buy a midi footboard like Lexicon MPX R1 that lets you send cc messages.
This is popularly called "stompbox mode".
Behringers FC1010 can do this also with a eprom upgrade from Uno.
Basically, all you do is save a file of your basic tone in forte ensemble.
Then you just save each preset with a new "scene".
You can name each scene and can be accessed via midi program messages.
On the Lexicon floorboard you can swith from midi program mode to "FX"
or CC message mode.(also referred as stompbox mode)
In FX mode you can control individual effect paramaters.
So,you can use switch 1 to control gain boost(preamp),switch 2 controls chorus on/off etc.
As if the pedals were right in front of you.
But the great thing about forte is you can use other VST plugins as well and place thier order in your audio chain.
Forte does this cool thing also.
Sceneview is a full-screen display that shows the previous, current, and next scene names.
The default is black background with flourescent Green scene names.
Very easy to see in the darkness of a club.
Forte does way more than this and there is probably a better way to do what i'm doing but it works very well for me and very easy to get up and running.
Good Luck

Out of what:

- Out of the Question?
- Out of the Closet?
- Out of the Way?
- Out of the Market?
- Out of Date?
- Out of Key?
- Out of Phase?
- Out of Time?
- Out of Town?
- Out of Tune?
- Out of Work?

Just "out of" curiosity...
