that sums up my feelings too...1.5 was very good and 2.0 is better in some ways...I dont want to write out the long explanation here, but I use to able to create "blocks" where I wanted to record...instead of using punch it would start recording when it reached that block...there were some cool advantages to this, but it's gone. Foxjazz, that's the third post you've made today extolling the virtues of Live. I understand, you like it - so do I. But it's not (and was possibly never intended to be) a dedicated audio editor like Audition, Wavelab, SoundForge etc. - so currently it does not answer all DAW needs. I payed:
$128.00 to upgrade from 1.5 to 2.0.. Worth every dollar IMO.. The thing is that it's totally legal to use both versions once you pay for your upgrade so theres really no loss..

So just the effect version works?? Does the VSTi version sync to AA?
